In Year 6, we work hard to create purposeful and memorable learning opportunities for all of our children and support them fully to develop their confidence, independence and resilience as learners and beyond. 

Children are encouraged to ask questions, engage in rich discussions and begin to take more responsibility for their own learning journey. Our learning environment promotes learning, positive relationships and helps children to be the best they can be! We really want the children to 'let their light SHINE.'

Google Classroom

All children need access to our Colorado Google Classroom. We use this in school during lessons such as Computing but also provide reminders for home learning and set children chapters of our class book to read at home.

Summer 2 - Update

Wow! I can't quite believe we are in Summer 2 already! The children have started back with a bang and are absolutely blowing me away with their efforts and determination! We have completed 2 successful curriculum days and the children have enjoyed showcasing their learning in Geography and Science! Rehearsals are well underway for our Year 6 production of 'Annie' and I can assure you we have got talent! The children have amazed me with their singing, dancing and acting skills and it is sure to be an amazing performance!

 

We have lots of exciting events to look forward to as we bring this half term, another year, and their final year of primary school to a close. The children are excitedly preparing for our residential to Weardale, working hard to develop their rounders skills to beat the teachers at our annual rounders match, as well as all the other exciting events for leavers. Children have their transition days/week in the calendar and I am sure they are going to make a fantastic impression on their new high schools!

 

What a jam packed Summer 2 we have got planned - let's end the year on a high!
