Welcome to LKS2!
Lower Key Stage 2 is an exciting and important time as children settle into the next stage of their primary school journey.Our aim is to create a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn. We focus on building strong relationships, helping children grow in independence and confidence as they take on new challenges. Through engaging and memorable learning experiences, we spark curiosity and encourage a love of learning across the curriculum.
We’re committed to nurturing the whole child—balancing academic progress with personal development, and always prioritising wellbeing and mental health. Our dedicated team is here to guide and support every child as they begin this new chapter and take the next steps on their journey through Key Stage 2.

Swimming:
Information regarding swimming will be communicated separately.
Spelling:
Spelling tests will take place every Tuesday. Test scores and your child’s test paper will be sent home the same day so you can see which words your child got correct and which they need to practise further.
New spellings for each week can be found under the Spellings section below. We have provided the full list of spellings for the half term, but children should only focus on the words for the current week.
The children will continue to learn the common exception words in their common exception word spelling lesson weekly. We have provided the full list of common exception words under the Spellings section below for your reference.
