Welcome To Key Stage One
As children enter Key Stage One we encourage them to become more independent and resilient learners right from the start. Children build their knowledge based on what they have learnt in the Early Years and begin to demonstrate these skills independently. In the classroom, children have access to inspiring reading areas where high quality, language rich texts are available for children to immerse themselves in. A range of maths manipulatives and support materials in English are always available to children so they can independently support their learning in class.
We seek to provide an engaging and creative curriculum which is purposeful and memorable and challenges children to reach their full potential. To find out more about what we are getting up to each half term take a look at our Topic Webs!
